Lovable needed to double headcount across engineering, product, and design - fast. Here's how Amby embedded as their recruiter, built the infrastructure from scratch, and delivered 43 hires in six months while keeping the talent bar high.

Lovable's platform turns ideas into production-ready apps and websites in minutes, serving founders, developers, and non-technical builders alike.
The Challenge
In August 2025, Lovable had strong product momentum and plans to scale from around 50 people to more than 100 before year-end, hiring across multiple countries simultaneously. But the internal hiring infrastructure had not kept up. Lovable had no dedicated in-house Talent Acquisition capacity and needed to rapidly build a scalable recruitment engine capable of hiring top 1% world-class talent across engineering, product, and design.
Several operational gaps made this harder. The newly implemented ATS, Ashby, lacked the automations and structure to support hiring at scale, candidate management workflows were inconsistent, and interviewers across the organization had limited experience with structured interviews.
Lovable needed a partner who could not only execute recruitment but build the processes and infrastructure to support rapid, sustainable hiring.
That’s when Amby came in.
The Solution
Amby embedded directly into Lovable's organization as its first dedicated recruiter, building the recruitment function from the ground up. In addition to expanding internal hiring capacity, we took several initiatives to get Lovable’s recruitment machinery ready for scale.
Rebuilding the ATS and operations. Amby started restructuring Lovable’s ATS, Ashby. The goal of the restructure was to simplify pipelines and rebuild automations and triggers to create a more structured and scalable workflow for candidate management. Amby started this build out, and quickly brought a recruitment operations to scale it further.
Training internal hiring teams. Before bringing Amby on board, the engineering team started to introduce interview training across the organization, helping interviewers assess candidates more consistently. Amby continued this work by implementing standardized frameworks with clear scoring criteria, structured debrief sessions, a stronger referral process, and training for newly hired recruitment operations staff.
Building a custom kickoff tool in Lovable. Amby created a custom recruitment kick-off tool inside Lovable, designed to ensure alignment at the very beginning of each hiring process. It helped hiring managers clarify role requirements, success criteria, and candidate profiles before each search began, reducing misalignment early.
Supporting long-term ownership. When Lovable brought in a Head of Recruitment, Amby collaborated to define a talent strategy and ensure the systems built during the engagement could support growth independently.
All of these initiatives brought together resulted in several structural improvements for the internal team:
Increased hiring capacity.
Standardized interview frameworks with clear scoring criteria.
Data-driven evaluation processes to support hiring decisions.
Structured debrief sessions to align interview feedback and speed up decision making.
A stronger referral process to activate Lovable’s internal networks.
