Omnium is a Norwegian software company that provides an easy-to-use system for handling orders across both online shops and physical stores. Their system helps retailers make online and in-store shopping work smoothly together, helping retailers create a true omnichannel experience for their customers. Omnium’s software connects important business systems such as ERP, CRM, POS, PIM and e-commerce. Some of the companies that use Omnium include Ark, Varner and Eurosko.
The Challenge
Omnium’s leadership identified an urgent need to scale the team quickly and efficiently. The company aimed to grow from 19 to 25 employees within just two months, filling critical roles across CSM, Tech, Support, Finance, and Marketing. However, without a dedicated internal HR or recruitment function, managing this volume and pace of hiring posed a challenge. To maintain momentum without compromising on quality, Omnium needed a partner who could support the recruitment process, streamline candidate follow-up, and save valuable time. To meet these needs, the leadership team brought Amby on board to lead recruitment efforts during this period.
The Solution
Amby partnered with Omnium as their recruitment team, taking full responsibility for sourcing and screening, organizing interviews, and advising Omnium throughout the processes and in evaluating the candidates. Amby was responsible for candidate communication and project management across all roles. The collaboration began with a rapid discovery phase, where the team conducted job analyses, mapped out the hiring timeline, and designed a recruitment process tailored to Omnium’s goals.
To enable fast scaling, Amby contributed with building essential recruitment infrastructure, including a dedicated career page, candidate landing page, and job ads, structured interview guides, scorecards, and case assignments. Amby also provided an ATS to help manage recruiting and hiring.
Over the following two months, Amby executed all recruitment activities with a focus on quality and candidate experience. This included organizing 66 interviews, handling exceptionally high candidate interest, and ensuring consistent and personalized follow-up at every stage. A key focus of the collaboration was elevating the candidate experience, with many candidates explicitly highlighting their positive experience with the candidate communication.
Throughout the project, Amby worked in close collaboration with the Omnium team. Omnium demonstrated exceptional commitment throughout the project, managing a high volume of interviews, providing rapid feedback, and maintaining a high-paced tempo, making Amby able to move quickly and efficiently. Beyond the operational collaboration, Omnium also welcomed the Amby team warmly into their office environment, including them in team activities and initiatives. This inclusive and collaborative culture greatly enhanced the effectiveness of the partnership.
The Results
The collaboration concluded in late October. Over a period of just two months, Amby successfully hired seven new employees, exceeding the original target of six, which will increase Omnium’s organization size by 37%.The project resulted in exceptional outcomes across all key metrics:
