Amby's embedded recruitment model enhanced recruitment capacity, streamlined stakeholder management, and filled critical roles across multiple markets - all without increasing management overhead.
Nagarro is a global digital engineering leader, and uses its expertise in and help its clients become human-centric, digital-first organizations. The team consists of over 18,000 employees spanning across 36 markets - all working together to shape the companies of tomorrow.
Nagarro had two internal HR resources to handle all HR and recruitment across three different markets - Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The team had worked with its internal, global recruitment team and various local agencies in Norway, but still struggled to land their most senior and technical roles. To add to the complexity, different teams and departments within Nagarro used different agencies, highlighting the need for a unified, effective recruitment strategy.
To help overcome these challenges, Nagarro chose to work with Amby via an embedded recruitment model. This models meant Amby consultants embedded fully into Nagarro’s internal hiring team to streamline global process, manage stakeholders, and add recruitment capacity without increasing management overhead from Nagarro.
In September 2022, consultants were tasked with recruiting technical, senior roles in a niche market - Atlassian, Platform and ITSM architects in Norway. By March 2023, Amby consultants expanded to the Swedish and Danish market to tackle similarly technical roles.
Amby approached Nagarro's hiring challenges by scoping out the most urgent roles and setting up a structured recruitment processes from scratch. This began with a detailed job analysis meeting to understand the exact profiles needed, where to find them, and how to attract them in a highly competitive and small market.
Once the projects got underway, it became clear that the exact profiles Nagarro was looking for proved more difficult that initially thought. To help widen the talent pool, the team re-evaluated which skillsets were needed and which were trainable - which resulted in a healthy compromise on non-essential skills. By focusing on what was teachable, Nagarro was able to expand the talent pool and be mindful on how to train new hires effectively.
By consolidating agency use to a single embedded recruitment provider, saved Nagarro time, money, and coordination efforts. Amby took full ownership of Nordic recruitment, and over the span of a year, the team filled 15 critical roles across four markets. Spanning Scandinavia and the UK, some of these roles included Solution Architects, a Principle Engineer, a Platform Architect, SAP Consultants, and more.
By integrating into Nagarro's global talent acquisition teams, Amby consultants pulled knowledge together from various markets to streamline interviews and hiring processes, without ignoring the need for local adjustments. The Amby team also developed a salary policy, compensation and benefits benchmarking, social and team building exercises and updated contracts to meet AML standards, among other HR guidelines.
Today, Amby remains a key part of Nagarro’s talent team, working towards key upcoming roles and contributing towards strategic HR and TA initiatives. If you want to learn more about Nagarro’s journey and explore open positions, visit its career page!
